We've put an insane sail trip together for the August Solar Eclipse!
In August 2026, during a rare total solar eclipse, you’re invited to join The New Mastersounds in the Balearic Islands for an intimate journey through one of the most meaningful locations in the band’s history: Menorca.
For over two decades, Menorca has been woven into the NMS story — from the legendary early shows at La Cova (captured on Live at La Cova album and pictured above) to unforgettable performances in Es Claustre in Mahón. It’s also where Pete made his home, grounding the band’s global journey in something deeply personal.
You’ll board a brand-new Bali 4.2 luxury catamaran in Mallorca and sail one-way to Menorca, surrounded by turquoise calas, prehistoric caves, and Mediterranean magic.
Capt. Eddie Roberts and Skipper Joe Tatton will be aboard the boat for the entire journey, and Pete and Simon will join for a private, unplugged show on board during the eclipse on August 12th!
Then, we will all head for land and the band will play 2 more live shows: Friday night in Es Claustre; and an intimate jazz club show on Saturday in Ciutadella.

On the day of the eclipse, we’ll anchor in a secluded cala directly beneath the prehistoric caves of La Cova itself — gathering to witness this rare celestial event and share an intimate, unplugged performance with all four band members.

Eddie Roberts
As an internationally touring guitarist and band leader with over four decades of experience, Eddie is a USCG Licensed Captain, music producer & manager, record company CEO, and a voting member of the Recording Academy (“Grammys”), WSET Wine sommelier and co-owner of Catalyst Adventures. Eddie brings everything that he loves together in these once-in-a-lifetime retreats: food, music, wine and sailing.

Joe Tatton
Pianist, organist, singer & songwriter, Joe emerged from the diverse Leeds music scene, playing up and down the UK’s jazz, funk and soul clubs. He joined famed quartet The New Mastersounds in 2007 and has toured the world creating a name as one of the leading funk players alive today.
Joe's love for sailing has lead him to gain his Royal Yacht Association Coastal Skipper license over the last couple of years.

Ashley Rose Roberts
Known as “The Bliss Queen,” Ashley hosts international wellness retreats for women. With her experience as an attorney specializing in international business and human rights, she combines this knowledge with astro-energetics, Human Design readings and Womb Healing to lead women entrepreneurs all over the world in expanding their spiritual and financial abundance. Ashley is co-owner of Catalyst Adventures and a certified American Sailing Association Skipper with her ASA104 & 114.
